The property was fine, being met with a pair of underpants on the outside banister didn’t bode well, but once inside it was fine. We are in our seventies so going downstairs in the morning with two cups of tea wasn’t ideal but we worked around it. The place was clean and very well equipped although we ate out every day. Salcombe is very niche and expensive although very beautiful and the natives were friendly enough. There are some lovely views a hilly walk away. There are National Trust gardens almost next door. We cut our holiday short as the weather was bad. I am a nervous passenger and driving round those Devonshire country lanes is not for the faint hearted so trips out were not a thing we did. Where 22 Bolt head is is a long walk, a ferry trip or a 10 minute drive away from Salcombe.
The owners should be proud of 22, it is decorated tastefully. I would suggest getting some new jigsaws as the ones I did all had pieces missing!
