"Room was clean, shower had good pressure and it was relatively quiet considering the volume outside. Staff was helpful, easy check in and check out. Only downside, both me and my husband got horribly sick from the food after our first meal there (didn't eat anywhere else, it was our first meal after arriving in India)and have now spent the last 3 days with bad diarrhea and vomiting."

"Just to be clear the area where the hotel is located it’s not ideal, since it is in an hiding alley. The area is also not attractive since the path is mostly mud especially when it rains. Also consideration if you are claustrophobic be aware there are no windows in the rooms "

"I stayed here with my partner for a few days to explore New Delhi and we loved the Lalit. It was a great hotel that was centrally located in New Delhi so we had easy access to a lot of our sites. The on-site food was varied and very good and was our go-to for breakfast. I would happily stay here again!"

"It's a classic hotel with modern fixtures, and excellent restaurant with bar. It's located in an older and busy neighborhood. Maybe that's why tour groups are bused in for lunch or dinner from modern more familiar hotels who shy away from the unfamiliar. The staff provided excellent service from housekeeping to arranging individual trips."

"The manager Divya is an outstanding leader and all her staff reflect the high standards demonstrated by her. This hotel has been a wonderful oasis for me and my dad. I can’t say enough good things or properly express the gratitude I feel for this place. The pool deck is so nice especially when all lit up at night. The gym is decent, there are cardio machines and free weights. Some benches. Towels, water, fruit bowl and locker rooms are there. The restaurant is so good. Menu has a great variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Chef Abhinev makes rounds regularly to check on clients and will fulfill custom orders. This is a Taj property so if you are a loyalty member you will get TataNeu points. I can’t sing enough praise for The Connaught New Delhi"

"This is my favourite hotel in Delhi- it’s a little bit out of the way, but it’s set in a lush garden, with a beautiful swimming pool. The rooms are tastefully furnished, generous in size and comfortable. Great staff on top of all this. "

"the red fort and jama masjid are within walking distance and there are vendors everywhere. the room was quiet and the air conditioning was powerful. I slept like a rock. the food down stairs was first rate some of the best i had in the country. i wish i had stayed longer "

"The shuttle is not free it is 1000 rupees. The hotel location is great if you want to see the red fort but it is difficult for some vehicle types to get to. The staff is friendly and helpful."

"Food was terrible, buffet was so bad now I am sick. They only serve half cup of coffee or Indian tea. The hotel is located in very bad area, red light area and beggars. Cannot rest, day time is very noisy with cars, 3 wheeler and at night dogs are barking."
