"No waffles or pancakes. Did have French toast, good juice, yogurt, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, sausage, cold cereals, oatmeal. No fresh fruit, no toaster. Great rooms, big, large comfy rooms and bed. Great staff"

"Great value for the stay with the suite (sitting area separate from bedroom). The suite was near the elevators and ice machine, so yes, it was noisey. But the bedroom with the door shut made for sleeping without noise from the hallway. The parking is an additional $20/vehicle, which was a surprise, and I do not think they tell you that. Overall, clean, comfortable, and conveniently situated downtown. "

"The hotel itself was pretty nice however, I had some very foul mouth neighbors that kept me up most of the evening. I called down to the desk. They sent security up a couple times, but it didn’t stop the problem."

"Stayed 3 nights. Didnt realize there was no elevator and i had heavy luggage. I was out for a long day of driving and exploring, and came back after opm just to find out key card did not work. They had blocked out several rooms in an area where they had heard dig barking and needed every room to come back to front desk and answer questions about having a dog. I was tired and annoyed. Also my TV remote did not work, but got it fixed. 2 staircases had painting work done so longway it was to the room. Everything was ok for what i needed. Comfy bed, good water pressure in bathroom. Surprisingly quiet area. Had great sleep, and all I needed. Nothing fancy but also locked gate makes it safe. Recommended!"

"Close to many restaurants and easy access to downtown and freeways. Easy parking along street with additional parking lots on the same block. Activities at the hotel are awesome and staff was so pleasant. Also, the rooftop bar on site has great views and Cam, one of the bartenders, went above and beyond with customer service. Won’t stay anywhere else when coming to Salt Lake for work."

"Overall, the Metropolitan Inn was... OK. It was reasonably clean and it looked like they were trying, but... Pluses: - The room was clean, no doubt about it. The linens all smelled faintly of bleach, so they were doing their washing well. - Water pressure was good, and I never seemed to run out of hot water. - Location wasn't bad at all. Right in the heart of the city. - Service was good. I lost my key card at one point and they issued me a new one without any hassles. The card turned up in my car so all was doubly good. Minuses: - The pictures on the Expedia site and on their own site do NOT reflect the rooms. At least not my room. - There was one quad power outlet in the room outside of the bathroom, and it was not next to the bed. Made phone charging while using it as an alarm clock a challenge. - The A/C was rather loud and there was a lot of light from the bathroom window (I had to close the door) making it harder to sleep. - There was no breakfast. Fortunately, Little America was across West Temple and had a nice coffee shop. - I stayed four nights and only had maid service for the room once, sometime during the day on Friday. Not a big deal, but... Overall: As part of my travel package, it was very affordable. The mattress on the bed was good and comfortable, and it looked like they were working to renovate rooms, but I'm disappointed that their marketing oversells the place. "

"First room was not cleaned. Beds were made but they were not washed from previous resident. Room had a bad smell. Second room was cleaned and nice. Wish they had a few more amenities like glasses to use. There were none but I guess you get what you pay for. It was bare minimum and I give this place three stars only because the staff moved us into a clean room quickly and didn’t up charge us for a larger room. "
