"My family holiday at Onusa, was a mixed experience. The hotel as such is a true pearl! One of the best places i have visited over my past 10 years in Thailand. But the food was madly overprized even for an area known to have overprized hotels in terms of food. 160 baht for a pot of hot water and a lipton tea bag is simply redicolous. "Met by semi enthusiastic staff and the guy that showed me the room looked as if I had disturbed his day! 3 mosquito bites in the first 5 minutes of entering the room, could have been sprayed before arrival! I bought some spray then had no more trouble. The Hotel was seriously unbooked only 10 rooms occupied and staff bored. "The "Hotels.com" villa was the last one in the rear of the complex with no view of the beautiful moutains behind or of the beach and sea in front of the unit. There were plenty of nicer units available. No one on the staff spoke English and was nearly impossible to communicate even with Google translator. The beach and surrounding area is beautiful and there are many local restaurants with great authentic Thai food."
