WE HAD A GOOD STAY, THE ROOMS ARE CLEAN AND WELL TAKEN CARE OF. THE POOL WAS OUT OF SERVICE, AND IT WAS MAINLY THE REASON WE GOT THE HOTEL BECAUSE THERE WAS POOL FOR THE KIDS.

Very nice! Wish there were more points of access to the beach. Also, the side lounging area next to the pool needs some work. Over all, it was a great experience, the restaurant was so good and the staff was very friendly

It is my first time in San Felipe; it is nice and within the budget for a vacation or weekend getaway. The hotel is outdated but very clean, and the pool and beach are clean. Everyday room service, a big room, a small free bottle of water daily, towels and shampoo, and a nice restaurant. What I don't like is that there are stray dogs on the beach; there is not enough information about what to bring or what is allowed to bring, as some guests have their own BBQ and chairs and an umbrella. the Hotel is very close to downtown.

The hotel is right on the beach, so it doesn’t get much better than that. Rooms could use updating but the AC works great, which is most important. The guy at the front desk hates his job.

In my opinion, this hotel was great. I was nervous when I saw the reviews but it was AMAZING! I definitely recommend staying here. The beach is literally a 4 minute walk and it’s a private one too.

Hotel El Cortez ok for the price

Its an old hotel. 10 minute walk along the beach shore to the Malecon. The Hotel restaurant is expensive but good. There is no coffee machine and no refrigerator and no ice, everything needs to purchase at the hotel restaurant hours 6am-10pm

The pool was dirty and the kids couldn’t play in it. Neither was it heated. The rooms are clean but could have made them closer to the beach rather than blocking their view with a restaurant in front. But if you are staying just a night and riding on the it is fine.
