"Great beachfront location, our room was newly renovated. Bed was super comfortable and our room was cleaned meticulously daily. Bucerías is walkable, about 15 minutes. Super cute town and felt very safe walking around. Nightly drink specials in the lobby & great tacos by the pool :)"

"I’ll start by saying the hotel is old. Despite that they’ve maintained it pretty well. This isn’t a luxury resort but if it tells you anything we booked another trip to return here in a few months on our way home. The staff is amazing and they were quick to address a maintenance issue in our room. Our son was in the pool the entire time which was great and the food options were really good- not Michelin star but better than other all inclusive I’ve stayed at and there’s plenty of variety. The cevicheria on the beach is actually really good - I’d go there as a standalone and pay for it to be honest. Great vibes and I think a really good value."

"The location itself it’s beautiful it’s in a very nice side of town and the area feels safe and modern. HOWEVER, The hotel itself is on the outdated side. The amenities are outdated and the place lacks cleanliness. I mean the basic needs are there but you can tell that the place doesn’t get deep cleaned nor are they keeping up with maintaining the facilities clean at all times. Some of the outside showers were missing water knobs others simply didn’t work. The staff was okay, they sent me over to the seven floor because I am an elite member with Expedia; thus I got a special welcoming along with other perks like discounts and what not but nothing crazy. I was actually glad they sent me up because the front desk downstairs was hectic and chaotic. Staff wasn’t really welcoming or friendly. The bar was basic, nothing great all alcohol tasted the same. The cups needed to be properly washed the smelled bad. The food surprisingly wasn’t bad, I really enjoyed the variety of foods they had. It’s in fresh and I had a good taste. But the presentation at times was very poor it didn’t give like there was a hygiene protocol being followed. This was mainly in the buffet area. Overall, I don’t think I’ll come back to this place but I think that we got our moneys worth?"
Melia Puerto Vallarta - All inclusive

"There were three of us and we reserved a room with two queen beds. The room was supposed to be ready at 3 o'clock. They didn't have a room for us until 3:30, and the room. They took us to had one king bed. So they took us to another room that had two full-size beds, and the air conditioner did not work. So we waited another 45 minutes for our third room which they told us was a premium room. It had a beautiful view as it was oceanfront, but it also had two full-size beds. Apparently they do not have queen size beds. The food at the restaurants was mediocre. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. The pool is quite large and has several places to sit in the water and relax which is nice. However, the bar is in the children's section of the pool. So the bar is surrounded by children. I suppose that's great if you have children, but mine are grown-up and I was not planning on spending my vacation with small children everywhere. It just seems like poor planning to have the pool bar in the children's section."
