Isla Verde Hotel
The property is efficiently arranged and incredibly clean. There are also a couple of 'oasis' areas in the hotel where you can take in a view of the surrounding mountains and enjoy a fresh breeze from garden atrium. Good restaurant food as well which makes this a great venue for solo travelers

Colours Oasis Resort ADULT ONLY
Nice little gem in San Jose. Booked it last minute not really knowing what to expect. The pool was very nice and a cool vibe. I can confirm it's hetero-friendly! Would come back for sure, especially on such a deal. Very walkable neighbourhood with charm.

Barceló San José
The staff was rude, entitled and disrespectful. The service at the restaurant was awful (with the sole exception of one waiter.) Alonso from the front desk was very disrespectful and their pickup staff mixed up our reservation for transportation and left us waiting for them in the middle of the night ...
