"This was a very basic bare bones accommodation. The cabin was fairly small but the furnishings, floors, fixtures were all old, musty and smelly. Bathroom in particular was smelling quite badly 😢 On the positive side, the location of the cabin was great and quite close to Keflavik airport. "The family room was perfect for the 4 of us! The hosts were all so helpful and had great senses of humor, we really felt welcome. The breakfast was quaint, the warm bread and fresh fruit delicious. The hotel was fully booked but we didn’t hear our neighbors. It was just a short drive to the airport after a very calm and peaceful stay."

"Great airport rest hotel . We used it as a transfer station for our family to stay after getting off of long flights and then transferring them to Reykjavík as their hotels downtown check-in was available. Will use again."

"Very strong sulfur smell both in the building and in the immediate surrounding area. Building is very clean and well kept, but do not expect breathtaking views or beautiful scenery. Breakfast is good with a wide selection of foods to choose from. Very quick car ride to the Blue Lagoon which was nice. Also did a brief driving tour of the Reykjanes peninsula upon departure from the hotel which was beautiful."

"What you see in the ad is what you get. It is shared accommodations, but it is clean and the other guests were respectful. The bathrooms/showers were very clean. I will be back for short stays as it is a great low cost option while staying in near Keflavik. Don't expect any communication with staff or operators. It is an automated business without human contact."

"Great location for taking the international flights. It’s clean and welcoming. The self check in and checkout are convenient. Just the key knobs for the shared bathrooms are too old. It’s easily for kids or even adults to lock themselves in the bathroom and have to call for help to open the door from outside."

"We had a great time! The Guesthouse has its own bathroom and has dividers between the main sitting area, larger bed, and bunk bed area. Conveniently located right next door to a great restaurant and a short drive to the Blue Lagoon and airport. Easy to follow check in instructions."

"Perfect for a basic overnight layover. I'd stay again. The taxi driver didn't know about the free shuttle part though, so we paid full price for the ride. I did message the hotel to give them our information to arrange the shuttle/taxi before the trip started but the hotel said to just call the taxi. So one small hitch, but a good stay overall."
