"We waited 2 hrs to be checked in even though we were first to arrive. The room was 85 degrees with a broken thermostat and not fixed after muktioke complaints and even a request to be movedbtoba different canad inns until 2nd day. Had to walk from 2nd floor to basement to access pool even though theres pool access on the 2nd floor but is kept locked. No ELEVATORS. "The front desk staff were lovely. That was very nice… The hotel itself was under construction, which we were not informed of. We were woken up at 8 every morning by people working in the hallway and outside the door. Drilling and hammering were not the best wake-up call. We didn’t have anyone come into the room to clean or replace towels at all until the last day, after we complained, and even then they left dirty dishes and we had to ask for towels at the front seat. "Stayed in a newly renovated room. Was quite comfortable, but did hear the adjoining room a fair bit - noise came right through the doors. Otherwise the bed was comfy and the new bathroom was lovely. Best of all was the restaurant. Amazing breakfast! I mean they have a mimosa flight!! "

"The location is perfect in the heart of downtown Winnipeg. Important to know that there is an escalator that takes you underneath the hotel and allows you to access most of the buildings in the downtown area from underneath the street. "

"Because of severe weather condition, the air conditioner could not make the room all the time. One of the elevators was out of service for my whole stay, and the only one was very busy with some issues. The safety of the area was terrible, and some security crews were assigned in different floors."

Both restaraunts werevery good, both with the food and staff.The front desk staff were all very professional, friendly, informative and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable and it wasvery quiet around me. "

"After many years of travelling, we stayed at our first bed & breakfast at No.5 East. Beautiful old mansion with beautiful rooms to stay in. Nice area with restaurants and shopping around the corner. Continental breakfast was great and the Latte’s exceptional. The hosts were amazing and easy to talk to. We will certainly stay again on our next visit to Winnipeg. 5 stars from us"

As someone who is gluten free I asked about food options and was told what was safe for me as well as presented some other options that weren't on display. The water slide and pool are very fun!
