"A small comfortable room which had everything we needed for our overnight stay in Irvine. It is close to good pubs, cafes and a shopping centre. The beach is a few minutes walk away and is really pretty. The sunset was superb, with staying just got that. Easy to access the property which was clean and comfortable."

"Staff did the best they could and were extremely friendly but the overall stay was a big let down. We quite understood that our room would not be ready before the specified time but, as the website had mentioned a snack bar/deli we thought we'd spend some time there. Unfortunately it had closed some time ago. Although there was comfortable seating in the reception area it was freezing. We subsequently discovered that the hotel is only heated for an hour or two in the morning and again in the evening. We ate in the dining room the first evening and found the food was mediocre at best. The breakfast, however, was extremely good. It's a pity that the breakfast times were incorrect on the website meaning that our travel arrangements meant we had to skip it on our second day. Overall, very disappointing. The hotel seems to be catering for coach parties visiting for evening meals and not for the individual traveller."
