"The staff were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and hardworking, always going out of their way to make guests feel comfortable. Breakfast was very good, with a wide variety of options available rather than a typical continental spread, including several coffee choices. The room showed some signs of wear and tear, although the bathroom had been recently renovated and was spotless. The main drawbacks were the squeaky floors and limited soundproofing between rooms, although outside noise was generally well blocked. Parking is located a short walk away (just a couple of minutes) and is free only between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. Overall, it’s a good option for a short stay of one or two nights."

"The hotel’s location is excellent, just steps from the center of town, and the price was very reasonable. The family room worked especially well for our group of four friends, offering plenty of space and the convenience of two full bathrooms. The main drawbacks are that the property feels quite dated and could benefit from renovations. The carpet was worn and had an unpleasant odor, and our biggest issue was a strong musty smell throughout the property. Room 24 also had a noticeable sewage odor, as if the toilet’s wax ring needed replacement, which significantly impacted our stay. The entry to that room has a dangerous drop off, and we nearly fell many times. That said, the combination of location, value, and room layout still makes this property worth considering if those are your main priorities."

"I had chosen this hotel as it was close to the train station and was one of the few in Blois that had an elevator. When I arrived, I was informed the elevator was out of service (and apparently there was no plan to have it repaired.) I asked if the Hotel St. Jacques which was a few buildings away had an elevator, and the receptionist grudgingly called them. Well, they, too, have an elevator, but it was not working because the "group" was remodeling the hotel. My room was small and at the extreme other end of the first floor (NOT ground floor.) But it was clean and quiet because the entire city is quiet at night. I didn't bother with breakfast as I've found pastry shops have better selections in the morning. The location is very convenient. Easy walking to Chateau Blois and the Mansion of Magic. If renting a car, parking is available at the train station for a moderate fee."

"This is our go-to for travel in and out of Tours since it’s immediately adjacent to the TGV station. It’s always clean and the staff always pleasant. Everyone we have encountered also speaks pretty good English. This is not a fancy-pants hotel with luxe appointments, but always reliable. They have a parking lot and excellent little pates de fruits bonbons at the reception desk."
