"When planning our walk on the Rota Vicentina, we weren't sure the extra distance to reach Quinta Chocalhino (Cowbell Farm!) from Odemira would be worth it but it was and Teresa made sure we didn't have to walk any farther than Odemira. Our stay at this family-run agriturismo was lovely: our room was incredibly comfortable and breakfast was perfectly suited to our tastes and dietary restrictions (one of us is a gluten-free vegetarian). We didn't have much energy to explore the grounds (or try the pool) during our one-night stay but we loved that there were donkeys, geese/ducks, turkeys, dogs, and cats staying on the farm with us. We got rained on during our day's walk to Odemira and were pleasantly surprised to find a clothes rack and dehumidifier in our room for drying out our wet gear. Teresa also lit a fire in the Great Room for us and we relaxed after dinner in front of the fireplace with our books and delicious red wine from the Alentejo region. We left the next morning rejeuvenated and ready to tackle our next stage to Sao Teotonio!"

"Breakfast was just ok, rooms are a converted parking parade , view was unobstructed but poor , way overpriced for quality compared to other hotels I recently stayed in. "

"We stayed in early March when next to nobody was holidaying. Essentially, we had the estate to ourselves! The breakfast was worthwhile. The room and facility was immaculate and beautifully presented. Even in peak season, the expansive estate offers tranquility and long views over patures to the Atlantic which is an easy 1km stroll to dramtic cliffs and the Fishermas trail. Highly recommended though, being off season, the diningroom was closed. O Sacas, a seaside restaurant, is a 5min drive to a fantastic meal."

"Room was clean and that was about all. Shower handheld leaked like crazy. By the time my shower was over I could have had a bath as the drain was so slow. Staff were excellent in telling us where to go. Pretty sure manybyears agonthis wiuld have been a posh hotel, definately not now. "

"Nice hotel with large rooms. Good breakfast. Helpful staff. We stayed here on the way to Lisbon from the Algarve. Sines is an industrial port city. I’d recommend staying in another city. We drove around the city a bit before checking and that was all. That’s the reason for the four star rating rather than five. "
