"This was my fourth stay at the Aqualuz. The hotel is perfect for me, and it is right in the middle of one of my favourite parts of the world to visit. I am there for work, so I have ideal access for where I need to be, in an extremely comfortable hotel, with spacious rooms and great facilities (including breakfast, the pool, and the bars/restaurants), and (the highlight) to have near-direct access to an incredibly beautiful beach. "This property is NOT where it shows on the map, it is 10 minutes down the street and not in the village of Comporta. There is only one AC unit, and the bedrooms get very hot. The house was not clean upon arrival and the cleaning people were still there. The microwave didn't work either. I am still waiting for my refund. The management company is difficult to work with and communicate with. Cute pool though. "

"We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was good with a wide range of choices. The location was great with a lot of shops, bars and restaurants nearby, including a tourist information office nearby and the marina for dolphin watching within a 10 minute walk. The rooms were comfortable, some with a seaview, and the shower had a strong flow. It would have been helpful to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room. There were no boxes of tissues which is standard in other hotels - they gave me a pack of paper napkins when I asked for tissues. The AC hadn't been switched on yet, we were told, so it was uncomfortably warm and stuffy in the rooms with the temperature in the high 20C. On the whole, a good experience and I would stay there again if they fixed the AC."
