"Average clean room with a small refrigerator and microwave. Nothing fancy, but a comfortable bed and great staff. I would recommend it for an overnight stay. Lots of free parking and a great deal on long term parking during a vacation away."
"The British Columbia southern gulf islands are special by any global standard, and each of the islands has a unique character based on its geography and community. Our stay at the Mayne Island Resort allowed us to experience the best of Mayne Island. The accommodations were perfect for a great night's rest and preparing a nice meal (or taking advantage of the on-site dining room) after a day of sea kayaking in Bennett Bay, Campbell Bay to the north or waters to the south, toward Saturna Island.
We enjoyed the hot tub and pool (spa area) and appreciated the easy kayak launch site on Bennett Bay and easy walking distance to the Gulf Islands National Park area along the northern shore of Bennett Bay and southern shore of Campbell Bay. We particularly enjoyed sitting on our patio in the morning savouring a cup of coffee and watching / listening to the birds. We're not birders per se, but within a half hour or so each of three mornings were able to identify (through their songs using the Merlin app) 23 to 25 different bird species including three species of swallows (Purple Martins, barn swallows, violet-green swallows), and frequently saw raptors such as bald eagles, osprey and a red-tailed hawk, along with a blue heron.
...and we sauntered down the road for a really great craft beer at Mayne Island Brewing on two afternoons. This is a not-to-be missed part of the Mayne Island visit. Overall, Mayne Island resort was a great place to unwind and find new experiences."
"Wonderful hotel and staff! Will be staying there again! The room was very clean and seemed new. The front door staff were amazing and helped us with our bike storage as bikes aren’t allowed in the rooms."
"Jacuzzi was warm not hot and jets are very weak but a little relaxing.Staff was excellent, we stayed 4 days and extended our stay an extra day, we were disappointed we couldn’t get the room until 3:00pm on the day we booked extra day. The food and Resturant’s were excellent, massage good, pedicure good. Are only glitch wasn’t being abel to get our room earlier."
"Definitely an older Hotel from the past… very quiet and was able to get a decent sleep before work start at 5 am . Staff was very friendly and helpful… For the price of $129 for the night definitely cheaper, but don’t expect the Ritz Hotel… I would definitely stay another night if in a pinch for a room for the night"
