No getting around it is an old hotel and we loved it! Do to a review that I was a little disappointed I couldn’t get the room I wanted, the staff called our room and gave us an upgrade for free! The property was clean and well maintained. Staff was courteous. The room itself did not really inspire, and was quite small. And though they advertise the balcony as a place to enjoy the nightlife, we (2 people sitting at a table enjoying coffee) were asked to keep our conversation down. It was disconcerting and disrespectful. I’d give it 3 stars.

We like the convenient location. The room was spacious and the staff was very accommodating. Enjoyed the availble water. There were a few condition problems in the room. A shower head that they fixed, a bad iron that they replaced and the charging station didn't work. Didn't like the $43.00 per day charge for valet.

This was our first time staying at the Marshal House. We were able to check in early and park in the public garage behind the hotel. Very convenient and cheaper than the valet parking. They offered free water, coffee and tea all day. They provided a wine and cheese happy hour everyday between 5 and 6:30 with entertainment. Breakfast each morning. Great location for walking everywhere. Very historic building and very welcoming!
