The hotel it good but don’t overpay for a suite. Sofa bed it’s not existing. Better to uses the regular room with a queen beds if you bring children. Not too close to where the good restaurants are Driving will be 10 min but will need to be creative to find parking in the Historic Area.

PROS: Beautiful hotel. Big shower. Great view of the river. Staff were extremely nice. Nice walking path to River Street. Pool was a small size but peaceful and clean with nice sitting areas. We liked having access to scooters and bikes. Complimentary waters at the entrance—better if they were in the rooms. CONS: Lots of extra fees when you check-in and during your stay-destination fee, state sales tax, and city hotel motel fee. Everything in the hotel cost extra. No free parking. Breakfast not included. Limited channels to watch. Bed wasn’t comfortable at all—very hard and pillows were flat. My husband and I didn’t sleep well. 1-ply tissue. Pretty much paying for the aesthetics. Recommendation: Worth the money if you don’t mind paying for the “fanciness” of a place. However, I will NOT be returning due to the extra fees, charges for parking, uncomfortable bed, and no complimentary breakfast.

Mark, the manager, told us that he was going to give us a refund. The water in the shower stopped working and my family couldn’t take a shower before my graduation. I have not received the refund yet.

Thompson Savannah exceeded all expectations. The staff were polite and very helpful with our needs. The food was good. The rooftop is great! The surroundings are great! Easy to get downtown and to the riverside. Loved our stay and will be back!
