"Only had a short stay at this lovely little place Staff very chatty/friendly Had minor issue which was dealt with promptly and without any question or fuss The breakfast choices were very good and cooked as you asked for it .. not just your average semi warm buffet, cooked fresh The restaurant food was also very good with plenty of choices Our bathroom was in need of some TLC but is due for upgrade - did not affect there was plenty of hot water, clean towels daily and lovely soaps etc already...

"We used the Hare & hounds as a stopover on our way home but will give serious consideration to returning to explore the Lakes from there"

"We stayed for 2 nights in a very small double standard room. No storage space,just a bar about a metre long to hang a couple of items on and small bedside drawers .There was a complimentary breakfast provided and tea making facilities but only a tiny stool so breakfast had to be eaten sitting on the bed. All that being said the room was clean and the bed . In the shower room there is a small towel rail but only big enough for hand towels,we had to drape the wet bath towels over the shower door....

"The Red Dragon is advertised as "Has Onsite parking Very Rare for location. That was the reason we booked it. When we arrived we discovered it has zero parking. The manager and staff apologised and advised where we should park. the town is short of longterm parking. We ended up spening a lot of time driving around and paying a lot for overnight parking. The rooms are fine. the breakfast very good, the Staff friendly and helpful"

"Lovely clean room, bed comfortable, shower hot and breakfast excellent . Do not try to get into your room before 4pm, not even by 5 minutes."
