"We took public transport from Paris. Appreciated the quietness after the day trippers left the Mont. Enjoy touring the Abbey later in the day. Nice little restaurants all around. Always nice to nip back to our hotel room for a bathroom stop.

"The room was a small room with a musty bathroom. It was grand for just one night. It was centrally located - in an annex of the hotel where the reception was. The view was of the overgrown yard space. You are paying to stay on Mont Saint Michel not for luxurious surroundings.
Breakfast was at a nearby restaurant and was good and plentiful. Parking was a mystery - we were told to go to a hotel on the mainland to get instructions about our hotel location but no advice was given about how to access the mainland hotel parking area where you need a code for the barrier to lift. They did not answer the phone.
Do bring water for your hotel room as there is none available. "
