"This resort is not the high end expensive Marriot resort on the other side of the island. If you have the cash and desire primarily high end hotels, this is not it. BUT, The rooms are just fine, with all the extras except a microwave. What makes this resort special is the great vibe and diversity. The guests are primarily Malaysian and families. The food is great. The large open beachfront area is great for hanging out and eating and having a drink and people watching. The long pier is the center of boating and snorkeling activity for the area. I did not use the dive center. The prices for all the activities are very fair and well organized. Spoken English is just fine for guests. For the price, the snorkeling is near the best in the world, which might be what you came for. Our entire stay from booking to transportation coordination on and off was seamless."
