"Very well kept hotel that is both close to the beach and to the medieval festival we were in town to visit. Wonderful restaurant within easy walking distance and the most amazing fabric store only 1.6 km to the north. Beautiful pool and pool area. "Absolutely stunning, historic property. Exceeds expectation. If you like Four Seasons, this far outshines. Property, accommodations, staff, and location are outstanding. We stayed in beautiful hotels in Portugal--this one is far/away the finest. Location is in the center of the historic, beautiful, charming village, which cannot be missed for meals, strolling, photos, etc. Highly recommend making the trip to the Arouca Geo Park for the Paiva Walkways and the suspension pedestrian bridge--experience of a lifetime!"
