"The staff , Sophie and Amy(? Receptionist )were excellent, and could not be faulted, especially when the management pushed against the already agreed fried breakfast, and called the receptionist in from home to tell me I only had access to a ‘continental’ breakfast rather than a cooked one.
I offered to discuss the issue directly with the management, but they still pushed and I had to show a screenshot of the messages I had received from the hotel indicating a cooked breakfast was included. Again, this was via the unfortunate receptionist, who had returned to the hotel, and I assume would not be paid.
In the end it was reluctantly agreed, to allow my partner and me to have the expected cooked food.
The breakfast was excellent- thank you Sophie.
As an aside the single pillows were rock hard and at 0300 we were serenaded by a nearby rookery
"
"Excellent dog friendly hotel. The hotel is next to a busy road so highly recommend booking a lakeside room which are much quieter, large and have a good view. Whilst the hotel is quite tired, for the price we paid and service we received, it represents good value. Meals in the bar well priced too. "
