"The room was clean and very well equipped. This is not a hotel per se. More of an air b&b type room. Our only issue was the location. The neighborhood was safe & nice but not the area displayed on the map. We were about a 30 minute walk from where we expected to be staying."

"Just amazing, perfect amount of inside space for solo travelling, great shower and bathing room, and has everything you need for a long stay.
It’s also right next to Horikiri Station, an underrated gem! the food places nearby are also a must try."

"Wonderful place to stay, the host was excellent and made sure everything was just how we needed and provided anything required. Would definitely stay here again."

"This property was so great! Literally 5 metres from a local grocery store and next to it a 711. Very pleasant 5 min walk to the train station.
The property inside was also great, lots of room for a family of 5 and could accommodate twice that.
Highly recommend! We hope to be back soon!
Thanks "

"Perfectly located for exploring the city and sights. Generally clean and tidy with plenty of space. Very comfortable beds and well payed out.
Sofa needs replacing as very uncomfortable, under the beds could do with a clean. Located next to a railway line which trains run very frequently, above a Karaoke bar which does go on until 03:00.
But you do get used to it. "

"The hotel is very nice - although I did see other review (complains) about the train track noises, I wasn't affected by it as it wasn't that loud and I could sleep peacefully"

"Lovely hotel in a good location close to Ikebukuro station, and with a 7-Eleven attached. Only complaint is that we were given one key card between three of us and when we lost it on the last day they charged us £15 for a new one."
DEL style Ikebukuro Higashiguchi by Daiwa Roynet Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel was very close to the train station and close to all the shops. That was an awesome time saver to navigate in such impressive city. The room was tiny but then again, you are in Tokyo, it is expected. All was very clean and staff was very helpful. The only hiccup we saw was that we had booked two rooms and one of them had a strong dampness smell but we reported it upon arrival and we were given another unit. We would definitely stay here again."
"Great location in ikebukuro.
The staff is wonderful
They helped us get a bus arrangement to go to haneda on our departure.
We checked out but were able to store our bags until we headed to the airport"
"I loved that the room I booked included a washer/dryer. My only complaint was that the air conditioner smelled mildewy/moldy so we did not use it at all. Thankfully we could open the window so that helped with the temperature in the room. Otherwise everything else was great."
"Great hotel with nice lounge area with microwaveable food from vending machine (i didn't try any of it though), free (coffee/tea, soft) drink area. Helpful staf answered our questions. Behind the hotel was a 7-11 and a small park with cherry blossoms blooming since it was March. Very close to shopping and eating areas and Sunshine city, safe area. When you arrive, the front desk is located on the B1 floor and only stairs lead to it but, luckily, they have a step-free entrance but it needs a key. You have to call them on the intercom first but they will come up to meet you, just tell them you would like to use the elevator and they will lead the way, but that is not specifically said anywhere. Laundry: Had three coin washer/dryer units; Dryer isn't strong as the U.S. so probably need to run it 2+ times. I did find this hotel a bit far from the main station; Ikebukuro is a BUSY and HUGE station with many exits, so maybe have your luggage delivered to the hotel, if you have big suitcases. May be about 13-15 minutes to the Ikebukuro Station, also is a subway nearby. I didn't have any issues with the walk but I was with family that had a hard time walking, which made it a bit difficult. There is another hotel up the Street under the same company with similar sounding name, so make sure you have the correct name. Would recommend, if you don't mind walking a bit to the station. But close to airport pick-up bus stop."
