"The first room we had was 'scan' clean, meaning it looked ok. But as soon as you walked in and turned lights on, you could see water rings on nightstand and there were actual chunks on the floor between the beds, like wood. The floor had not been vacuumed and the table not wiped with any type of force. We asked to switch rooms - which I've only done one other time in my life. The staff easily completed this task, but with almost no words.. It was as if this was commonplace and not shocking. Maybe my expectations were too high to expect a 'we are so sorry and we'll make sure to have housekeeping check on it in the morning. We're going to move you rooms, sorry for the inconvenience' kind of reply.
There was gum stuck on the wall in the dining area, at seated eye level.
Other than that, beds were comfortable, breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast. Day staff smiled on our way out. "
