"Very small rooms, the fist one we had was 10 x 11 feet with a private bath across the hall, after one night we changed to a room not much bigger with a bathroom in the room for $20 a night more.
Rooms were very small but nice and clean."

Charming mountain town! Ended up returning the next day on the Durango to Silverton round-trip train ride, which was also very enjoyable!

Perhaps the best mining town to visit in Colorado. Multiple dining options. Close to some great hiking and exploring. Great shops and galleries:

The train comes up to Silverton every day from Durango. So, town gets really busy between 12:30 and 2:30. After 2:30 it was really quiet and the restaurants slow down. That's the perfect time to walk around town!
