"We had the best time at the Doowall this week. It’s quiet and serene at the hotel and it’s only a short distance from the White Temple. Coming back in at night and seeing the temple sparkle in the dark is a truly magical moment, especially when in a Tuk Tuk. The food was incredible, I will think about that yellow curry with crispy mushrooms for the rest of my life. The staff was so helpful and kind. "Basic motel style but no twin rooms, the price at the place was 600baht for a single and 1200 for a double so we asked to change to 2 singles, which caused mayhem and we kept being put on the phone to someone who spoke English but still said we’d have to pay extra, eventually the lady took us to a suitable room but no top sheets and the bedcover was filthy. The shower was great though and bathroom clean, no bedside lights."

"Lovely quiet spot by rice paddies, about a 30 minute drive from Chiang Rai. Staff are very attentive and made sure to ask us if we needed a taxi to get into town. Breakfast is delicious and dinner is made for you at 1700 if you have no plans to eat in town. This resort made for a very unique experience in our travels to Thailand. "

"Liked: Beautiful property,with each bungalow facing the river and the rice fields and jungle. The restaurant prepared so many great dishes, food is local, farm to table….vegetables are grown onsite."

"Absolutely amazing property and a perfect size for 3 of us (it does fit more). The owner is really lovely and very helpful. Nice relaxing area, brilliant views and sounds of the wildlife. The area would be better with a car but its accessible by grab too which is how we managed it as a family of three :D A microwave in the room would be a really good addition. We were very happy with our stay. We will be back next year. Thank you xx"

"The room was in great condition. The front staff nice, but didn’t speak English. However there was construction all around the area. Jackhammering and sawing noise was intense and on one day started right at 9am (Saturday) and lasted to 3-4pm. I think construction will last other year. All extras such as pillows will be an additional charge."
