This place is hard to find. You have to take a boat from Sipalay. For those who seek adventures this may be a plus. After checking in "THE ATTENDANT LEFT US" we were all alone at the hotel. It was pretty scary. We were scared all night. The beach was beautiful and the facility was cozy but I would not recommend feeling scared all night to anyone.

Da dies mein 4. Philippinenurlaub war, habe ich keine "deutsche Erwartungshaltung" an das Hotel sondern eher eine erheblich niedriegere "philippinische" gehabt. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend, ordentlich und mit diesem war ich sehr zufrieden. Gleiches gilt für das zugehörige Gelände. Nicht zufrieden war ich mit: * Der Strand war zu dreckig. Neben kaputten Glasscherben waren dort auch unzählige Plastikflaschen und sonstiger Müll. Ich sehe hier klar die Verantwortung bei der Unterkunft. Allerdings gilt das auch für die Nachbarunterkünfte. * Das im Preis enthaltene WIFI reicht oftmals nicht für Textnachrichten per WhatsApp. Normales Websurfen ist absolut unmöglich - selbst ohne Videos. * Die Zimmer sind an vielen Ecken renovierungsbedürftig. * Die Beschreibung der Unterkunft enthält auch Sonnenliegen am Strand. Diese sind nicht vorhanden. Das Foto ist mit den Sonnenstühlen der Nachbarunterkunft gemacht. Das Hotel ist NUR PER BOOT ZU ERREICHEN! Gilt für alle Unterkünfte an diesem Strand.

Good basic hotel

Sugar Beach House is a good basic hotel , what makesit good is its location , Sugar Beach is a great place to fall of the earth for a while and just relax,the beach is beautiful ,it faces west towards the Sulu Sea and sunsets are spectacular ,the beach itself is very shallow , you wade out 100 metres from the waters edge and still be only 5 ' deep , Sugar Beach House has reasonable facilities the meals cooked are quite delicious although there isnt much choice and some things are unavailable ,the dining area is nippa style and very inviting , there are only 3 rooms here all have A/C and they are roomy enough , but could do with a make over and some renovation,there is wifi but it gets turned off when the Staff leave at night so emails etc have to wait until they return in the morning , This being said Deann the main staff member was pleasant and very helpful with all our requests and service needs .John and Gina.

just ok

Clean room, bedding fresh and smells good, but lots of mosquitoes in the room even though we kept everything closed, which also wasn´t so nice as the sliding door has milky glass so you see nothing of the surroundings. Strange welcome just pointing at our room. Wifi wasn´t working on and off and also no phone signal in our room. Restaurant quite expensive and all behind the other beach resorts so we preferred to eat next door at Sulu Sunset where the restaurant is right on the beach and cheaper.
