"Beautiful charming hotel with gorgeous views. The front desk guy was super helpful and friendly. Keep in mind this is an old hotel with very few amenities."
"I can't rave enough about Chelsea and The White House. If you're coming into Skagway to stay for a day or two, this is a location to check out. It's down the street enough to avoid some of the cruise ship passenger mob, while still easy walking to prime spots on Broadway, the main drag. Chelsea will make your stay that much better with her willing, cheerful assistance. While there, don't miss Husky Tales on 5th to meet an Iditarod champion and cuddle husky puppies and Aurora Yarns of Alaska for the most amazing wool in the world from Musk Oxen."
"The main issue we had as there is no sign on the building! There is no way to identify you have arrived at the location. You have to get the room key from a store near the building ( we had to ask people in the street and eventually another store owner took us to the right store to get the key) very unprofessional and frustrating. "
"Host was very nice and helpful. He was an all in one person trying to do to many things from front desk to shuttle service. Could really use another person to help with all the tasks. Breakfast was very good self serve. Good variety of foods. Rooms and amenities were nice. Will stay there again next time we get to Haines."
"The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely stay there again when we return to Skagway."
"I stayed here the night before I caught the ferry and it was fantastically comfortable. The only issue that I had, and it was very minor, was finding the check-in instructions, but it was no trouble - another guest showed me the way. Well, there was a second issue. The driveway is very steep with some very sharp turns. I had everything I owned in the back of my pickup, so with the added weight, it was problematic for me to maneuver the driveway. If I'd known, I would have parked on the road and walked up, found my room, planned my route, and then driven in. If the weather had been different, it would have been a problem. All of that said, I loved it and I would absolutely both recommend it and stay there again. "
