"The room was very clean. We did not have a free breakfast. It’s more of a hotel that happens to be attached to an old castle so it’s not like the other castles around Ireland. The staff were very nice and accommodating. The food at the Knights club was very good. The shower was very nice. It had a rain showerhead and a handheld. They provided shampoo and shower gel. Parking was free."

"Overall a great place. I only had one incident with the cleaning. I missed a cleaning because I left the room late. However, when I asked the concierge downstairs to have it cleaned, they said it would get done, but I guess it wasn't communicated. It happened only once."

"All Staff are Extremely kind and Helpful. Apart from a minority, the majority are nice and smiling. Rooms were clean and the cleaning staff were very kind and responsive. The restaurant was excellent. Some chefs(the ones who distribute food) looked very angry and somehow irritated appetite! Generally, the place was peaceful and beautiful. By the way, lack of fridge was very unusual! However, when I have requested, the beautiful receptionist made it happen right away."

"It's a beautiful hotel and the dinner we had at the restaurant was excellent. We were also very happy with the shuttle service to and from the airport. However, for the price we paid, I expected air conditioning in our room, or at least a circulating fan to use. The one window opened only a sliver and it got pretty stuffy in our room fairly quickly. That was during May; I can't imagine what it would be like during a summer heat wave."

"Good value in a busy city at short notice. Clear that efforts are being made to improve the visitor experience - bed- and bathroom meticulously prepared and well presented. Exterior still looks a little shabby. Right on boundary of professional/modern zone by the Park/new housing development, with slightly run-down older residential streets. "We stayed at The Lucan Spa two different days during our trip as we were driving through Ireland and it was not too far from the airport. I can’t say enough about the staff - we arrived early and we were able to leave our luggage there with no problem. I injured myself and they were genuinely concerned and extremely helpful.
