"Great location and very friendly staff."

"My wife and I spent 3 nights at The Chocolate Box. We had the entire cottage, which included 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen , living room and a washing machine. It was an extremely peaceful and relaxing stay. It was so quiet as well. The location is perfect for day trips to Cork and Cobh, as well as the Ring of Kerry. Lidl was only a 10 minute drive away "

"Great location and lovely views out onto the water. Lovely pool and related facilities in the basement though having to pay for a swimming hat was annoying. Rooms felt a bit dated, and overall not as nice as in the pictures. Layout is odd, having to go in two lifts to reach a second floor room. The breakfast was a complete write-off: we were told to go out into the lobby with the 20 (?) other people and wait 30 mins for a table. As we had a long drive ahead, we left without eating breakfast. The...

"Really lovely hotel - the best on our trip to Ireland. Beautiful grounds, friendly, helpful staff and delicious food. Dinner was excellent as was breakfast. I highly recommend and would happily visit again. Thank you to everyone at Fernhill!"
