Idaho Falls was created by a man-made diversion dam used for hydroelectric power. Before the dam was created, this was just a bunch of small rapids. Now, the Snake River makes a drop of about 20 ft. or so over a width of 1200 ft. There is a beautiful walkway along the river here, so one can stroll along the whole length of the falls. In the background is the Idaho Falls Idaho Temple.

Over Pillar Falls looking back to the Snake River where you Canoe or Kayak in. Beautiful!
One of my favorite bridges anywhere. This is a view form the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, ID. Daily you can see base jumpers walking to the middle of the bridge, climb on the side and jump off to land safely below, all while you canoe underneath on the Snake River. There is even a walkway that covers the whole length of the bridge with beautiful views as long as you’re not afraid of heights!
