"I had communicated directly with the hotel to upgrade and was quoted a price which I accepted and was told should be paid on check in. On arrival there was no upgrade I showed my emails to the receptionist Jose and was dismissed and found him rude. However I spoke to another receptionist the following day Jessica who explained things and arranged for us to be upgraded ASAP. Thank you Jessica. "Property is in an area with many derelict buildings. It feels safe enough. Hotel itself needs refurbishing. Staff at reception are ok, catering staff not very friendly at all. Noisy room as was situated above the entertainment disco area which thankfully stopped at 11pm."
