"The room was basic, but very clean and comfortable with the exception of the shower that felt a bit claustrophobic. Breakfast and dinner had wide selections of Japanese and Western dishes. We stayed during a typhoon, so we did not see much of the area and did not use the outdoor pool etc, but the resort looks like a great place to enjoy with the family. Even indoors there are plenty of things to do from foosball to karaoke. Very good experience overall."
"Central location to all attractions, very spacious, the only bathroom has double sink vanity I have ever seen in Japan. Highly recommended especially for families"
"The hotel is fine and in a great location. The room was too small for my husband and I to be comfortable in together. We moved to the Sheraton allowing each of our adult children to have their own room at the Solaria."
"Beautifully maintained property. My room had an excellent view. The shops on the 1st floor were enjoyable to visit. I would be happy to stay here again."
"Great hotel and in the middle of where you need to be. Walking distance to the ferry to go to Sakurajima Volcano and also walking distance to Kagoshima Chuo Station"
"The room could have been cleaner, particularly the bathroom. We had no view but stayed for two nights so it wasn’t a massive problem. Not great amount of space but any longer stay than 2 days would have been a bit tight. Bed and the pillows were very comfortable. Check in and check out fairly quick. "
