Not a quiet place

The hotel was nice and clean and 10/15 min walking to the city centre...the main problem is that 2 meters away from the building is a train line ...which is very very very loud( all the windows are having the train line "view").The breakfast area is on lobby reason why you can't have a long sleep if somebody is woking up and is having the breakfast in the lobby...you could hear everything through the walls from the other rooms or from the lobby. The shower is very small and uncomfortable...with the water either to hot or to cold.

Vale o custo benefício

Mamma Lucia é bem arrumadinho e limpo. Café da manhã oke boa localização, mas o staff não fala inglês, o que complicou um pouco alguns momentos.

Difficult to access on arrival

This b & b is a converted 2nd floor apartment. On arrival we rang the doorbell only to see we should contact the owner by phone. Once we were in we were disturbed by other guests doing exactly the same, ie ringing the doorbell.

We stayed for 2 nights. One problem we had was our taxi driver from Naples got confused about where the B&B was located -- drove past it and had to ask directions. The room was larger than we expected, with a view from the bathroom of an orange grove. We also had a nice little balcony. We were further from town then we expected. We were a short walk from the train station, even with our luggage it was just under 15 minutes. Sorrento is a beautiful town, loved the views once we got into town and down to the water -- the only view from the room other then the grove was the gas station and building across the street. The room was large and quiet which suited us just fine. They made sure we had breakfast in our room fridge and in our kitchen cabinet -- since we had early morning plans. After some confusion with lost luggage -- they tried to deliver and were turned away -- the manager of the B&B tracked down the courier and got the lost luggage delivered while we were on Capri. The price was perfect for our budget, and we all had a place to rest our heads. Also, there is a laundromat down stairs.
