The river with its backdrop of karst mountains is perfect in Yangshuo. Take the bamboo boats rather than the big cruise boats to get a better feel for life on the river. I saw another Trover had pretty much the identical bamboo canoe and mountain view. It’s a nice hotel, and the staff is great. However, with no air conditioning in the room, temperature control is nearly impossible. You are either hot with the windows closed, or cold with them open, while the traffic noise disturbs your sleep
