"Loved the history and charm of this place. It was old, yet very well maintained. So cute and full of personality. Comfy bed and clean linens. Restaurant was great for dinner. Continental breakfast was nothing special but appreciated."

"We have been using this motel for years. It has always been our go to for exploring the southern Maine coast. It has always been exceptionally clean. This time was no different but it seemed that the staff was overworked and couldn't keep up with everything. Our room was clean when we got there but several minor things were missing. Getting it cleaned again while we were there was difficult but the absolute necessities were provided. Parking is easy right outside the room which has exterior and interior doors so getting to the breakfast room is easy in inclement weather. The breakfast itself was nothing special but edible with eggs, sausage, breads and cereals, yogurt, apples, bananas, muffins, bagels, milk, juice and coffee. There was plenty of food and it was hotel grade, not premium but as I mentioned, edible. At any rate it kept us going, hiking daily and exploring beaches and conservation areas. This motel is centrally located to many different hiking and driving attractions and is relatively inexpensive. This place is dog friendly while most are not. We always have dogs so just one more reason to stay at the Coachman Inn. The water is hot, the showers are strong and the TV service includes movie channels. By the time we got there every evening, we were tired so maybe watched a few half movies before falling asleep in the excellent bed. The mattress, sheets and blankets are high quality as are the bath and hand towels. It is a pleasant place to stay in this area."

"Very convenient location to downtown. There was a lot of construction happening at the site so the parking lot and surroundings were not as nice as they could have been however they are making improvements so it is understandable. The price was reasonable and the accommodations were more than adequate. Also a good diner walking distance across the street."

"My daughter and I stayed just one night. We did have the complimentary breakfast, which was good. The staff there were helpful and friendly. We did not take advantage of fitness room. Our room was clean and comfortable. What kept me from giving this 5 stars was checking in. I checked in early via the text I was sent to “ save time” when we arrived at the hotel. However, at the reception desk, it took even longer than online. I do not feel I saved anytime. During this transaction , the receptionist never said a word to us. After, we were handed our key cards in a card holder with the room number on it, which was good, because we were not told what floor or room we were given, nor where the elevator was. Also, thankfully, I noticed the sign in the lobby for breakfast times, because that was not given either. The rest of the staff was great. The desk is the first thing you encounter when you enter the hotel. They set the tone of the rest of your stay. However, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was plenty of parking , and though we are not typically “breakfast people” , we found the breakfast good- lots of options. The area was clean and staff was helpful. The price of our room, ( 2 queen beds) was reasonable."

"The room was very clean and welcoming. The front desk was very helpful whenever we asked them about things. Went ate at the restaurant/bar. I think they could use some help in there with taking orders. When we asked the prices of drinks he said he didn't know what they were because he was working on the prices. Not a good answer in my opinion. But all and all, it was a nice hotel and I think if they worked a bit harder on the restuarant/bar it would be a really nice place."
