"The hotel was very clean and I felt safe staying there with my children. The bed was not the most comfortable, but I have had worse. The sheets were very rough. The rooms and hotel were VERY clean. The hotel is dated but well kept. The breakfast was average, a mix of fruit, cereal, bagels, toast, oatmeal, omelet maker, hot sausage, potatoes, cheese egg omelet, juices, coffee. Pool was nice and clean. My husband was not a fan of their policy to not have the lobby TV on past a certain time."

"Booked last minute on Expedia due to flight cancellation. When arriving at midnight front desk clerk tells me the power has been disrupted and they could not take Expedia reservations. Told her it was non refundable and all hotels at DTW were sold out. Her attitude was terrible and she was going to kick me out after a long horrible day in the middle of the night. After some begging she gave me a room. For a 2 star hotel they overcharged knowing travelers were desperate. Never again "

" My mother booked a room for me after a long day of meetings and had to be up early in the morning for another long day. i live over an hour away and staying closer cut down my travel time immensely! So I go to check in and the hotel attendant at the front desk tells me that I can’t use a chime or Cash App card for incidentals! And that was the only cards I had on me. Then I was told that they could not cancel the reservation and that we needed to call Hotels.com to cancel and if the website was not updated with the information about the cards it was not the Westins responsibility to cancel or refund back to my mother. I was crushed to say the least because I love the Westin and have stayed there plenty of times and never ran into this problem. I understand that there may be issues when trying to refund the money back to chime, but nothing was said at the time of booking. So I ended up staying at a hotel up the street. So word to the wise…DON’T try to use your chime/cash app card for incidentals!!"

"The hot tub wasnt working during my stay but that was minor. Everyone was so nice and atrantive and the property was above gorgeous. My room was spotless and the bed was spacious and very comfortable. I plan on taking another trip to Michigan and i definitely plan to stay here again! "

"Beautiful facility. I celebrated my birthday in the Jefferson Ballroom with family and friends. I was satisfied with my hotel room; however, there was a fire drill at 3AM and we had to evacuate. We had to walk down the stairs from the 10th floor to find out it was a false alarm. We had a hard time falling back asleep and then it was time to fall asleep. We did not really get to enjoy our overnight stay. It was a waste of $$$. However, the Radissson Southfield is a nice Hotel."

"A little disappointing with this Embassy Suites which is NEVER a problem that we have. We got checked in...went to use the pool and it literally took your breath away with the chlorine. Had to put a towel over your face it was so strong. The property iteself is just in need of serious upgrades. One elevator not working...ceiling tiles falling down in our room...just needs some major TLC in the future. Not what the expectation is when you pay and stay at an Embassy Suites "

"Rooms were fine if not a little old. We had an interior room that in March with it cool outside was impossible to cool off. Halls and stairs were much cooler and yet with our AC on high, we were still too hot. Asked twice for someone to come fix it and never got a response or repair. Just OK and then never any action."

"Beautiful hotel in Birmingham, an upscale area With restaurants and shops. I would call the Townsend a 4.5 hotel, not quite a Ritz, but way above a nice Marriott. The bed was the most comfortable bed ever, the staff responsive, the room well designed and the bathroom lovely. The shower was not strong. "
