"Lovely overnight stay here. Our room in the main hotel was excellent and my son loved his in the courtyard area. The check in was good. Staff very friendly and pleasant. Local beer excellent, as expected. Dinner was lovely and so was breakfast. The staff were so friendly, but professional, especially when a resident asked if the fresh fruit like oranges had been washed !!! We will go back again."

"Personal choice but didn't like the evening menu choices and breakfast was good if poached eggs were cooked better. Mine still had the clear egg slime on them. Staff were brilliant even down to the housekeeping. Room we had was really lovely, modern and a good size. Lots of space in bathroom and a great shower. Free parking was a real bonus. Really enjoyed our weeks stay at golden fleece hotel"

"We informed the hotel we'd be arriving early as we were attending a wedding, and they very kindly had the room ready for our arrival. The room was clean and had comfortable twin beds, with a gorgeous view over the village square and Middleham Castle. The welcome we received was warm and friendly. Lunch was excellent; highly recommend the Wensleydale Cheese Souffle and Bangers and Mash! Breakfast was also included and was delicious. As someone who has worked in luxury hotels for years, I was very impressed with everything! We'd definitely stay here again when in the area. "
