"This place is elegant, and you feel the class as soon as you step thru the doors. Its nice they kept the historic hotel in such good shape for its age, along with newer amenities (rooms,restaurants/bars, shops, and even a spa). The only down side i found while staying was the trains that go by. They are loud, but its part of the reason the hotel was built back in 1875. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The port bar gave a nice ambiance of speakeasy era. Enjoyed a smoked old fashioned and delicious burger. Overall Id recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys history, or if your in town its definitely a place to check out."

"The hotel was quiet. The rooms were well furnished, plenty of space for suitcases and counterspace/desk for placing personal items. An easy to use TV remote! Very nice breakfast buffet! "

"Stay at hotel was good but was charged ADDITIONAL fees after checking out...Even though I had PREPAID hotel months in advance.. Pool was good and so was hot tub...coffee wasn't too good but breakfast was ok"

"Breakfast was fine for a hotel breakfast. Room was clean. I really liked that the hot tub was in its own room with its own TV. However, the sofa bed had no sheets, pillows or blankets. Even if they were there, the bed was secured shut. I was hoping to sleep by myself in that bed and give my daughter the other bed. I would have gone to the desk then, but it was late, i was tired so i just shared the bed with my daughter. "

"Was ok nothing special. Pool was to cool n lighting in pool area was not great. Had to go ask for towels at front desk. Issue after check out with payment still fighting with and nobody getting back to me about. Several emails and a few calls in already with no refund yet. Will look at different place next visit to red wing if not resolved today"
