"Excellent location for work"

"Lovely, unique interiors in this 17th Century building. The bar area has character and the prices are reasonable. Rooms were spacious. Excellent and friendly staff too."

"Me and my husband stayed therefrom 19th to 20th. The staff who checked in was a lady. The way she treated us was not appropriate. I already booked by the application and she ask for my card details, which includes everything from complete card number, expiry date and CVV. She said she want to confirm that the same person is checked in. I told her thats why i gave the ID and she already photocopied it. Still she asked for my card details and said if I dont provide it she cant give us the booked room. I felt like why? She said everyone gave card details and she showed us others card details also in a white paper. I felt it’s completely illegal that its not safe to show others there card details . She said its their rule. We said to show the rule . She didnt say anything about that. At last i gave last four digits of my card details to get the room. She said, the security will also check something like that which i dont understand. The way she speaks feel completely disrespectful. She said no smoking in room. I said we both dont smoke. Then she said everyone says like that but end up in smoking in room. I dont feel its not an appropriate customer service they Provided. Except her everyone was so good.good service."

"The positives- off street parking available. Breakfast is from 7am and there is a good choice available, including fresh fruit. Negative (for Room 11 in the secondary building) - single gazed windows with condensation, so allowed noise of street traffic in throughout the night. Curtains do not close fully so light streams in with sunrise. Shower - huge leaks from both ends of shower head pipe. Storage shelf in bathroom on large downward angle & about to fall off. All of the above raised at checkout. Central heating not turned on (was about 3C at night); thankfully there was a plug in radiator in cupboard. Room is tiny, barely enough space to put down bag & turn around. Room & door not sound-proofed, can hear opening/closing of doors & bathroom fan of room next door. Overall the hotel is in dire need of an upgrade."

"I wondered beforehand in view of the modest price, but they have achieved that by reducing personnel rather than quality. The whole place is automated, they send a code so you let yourself in, breakfast is modest but adequate (and there is a 'Spoons just up the street if you fancy more!). Short walk from the station, warm & comfortable, would go again if ever in Boston. I needed to leave some luggage at check out for collection later in the day, that worked perfectly, by prior arrangement, and that was the only time I ever met a member of staff."

"All staff we met were friendly and helpful, including spa staff. Room clean and spacious, not modern but traditional as would expect in older part of building. Shower hot, bathroom huge! Mattress not the best though. Think room would be cold in Winter due to period windows, single glazed and not air tight. Breakfast also traditional, nice to have tea and coffee served at table, fresh bread , hot food good, cereals limited and basic."
