A room with a view.

Family run hotel in a beautiful part of the Black Forest. Plenty of free parking and free wifi .Pets are welcome. Unfortunately, the hotel is not wheelchair friendly as there is no lift. We had a delicious evening meal cooked by the host and served by a very friendly young man called Hrvoje. Our room had a wonderful view over the hills.

Renovierungsbedürftiges Hotel mit altem Mobiliar

Das Badezimmer ist aus den 70-er Jahren, über der Dusche ist Schimmel an der Decke zu sehen, eine Fließe in der Dusche war kaputt. Das Mobiliar im Zimmer ist in einem ordentlichen Zustand, aber nicht gerade neuesten Datums. Ich habe noch nie ein so tiefes Bett gesehen, Ein- und Ausstieg sehr mühsam, auf keinen Fall für ältere Paare geeignet. Frühstück ist für die Hotelkategorie angemessen was Auswahl und Qualität angeht. Geräuschpegel durch andere Hotelgäste und deren durch die Korridore rennenden Kinder auch zu nächtlicher Zeit mittel bis hoch.

Hotel Großbach ist ein *** im Ortsteil Menzenschwand von St. Blasien. Dies ist in einem ruhigen Tal gelegen. Das Hotel ist rustikal ausgestattet, es ist nicht luxuriös, aber für ein drei Sterne Hotel recht angenehm. Das Restaurant hat eine durchschnittliche Auswahl. Was wir gegessen haben war gut. Die Parkplätze liegen unterhalb des Hotels auf Straßenhöhe. Der Aufstieg von diesen zur 1. Etage des Hotels, auf welcher die Zimmer liegen, ist vergleichbar mit dem zu einer Wohnung im 4-5 Stockwerk ohne Aufzug. So ist das Hotel nicht für gebrechliche oder behinderte Personen geeinet. Das Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich und bemüht sich auch rührend um die kleinen Gäste. Bemerkenswert fand ich, dass dort auch Niederländisch gesprochen wird. Die rustikale Zimmereinrichtung war deutlich benutzt, das Bett war nicht durchgelegen. Das Bad ist mit einer Dusche, einem Waschbecken und einer Toilette ausgestattet. Der Fernseher hat gut funktioniert. Das WLAN reicht zum Abrufen von Texten, wenn man Geduld hat. Bevor man herausfindet, ob man im Ort etwas einkaufen kann, fragt man besser das freundliche Personal. Das mobile Internet der Telekom funktioniert im Tal nicht wirklich gut. Empfehlenswert für einen Familienurlaub.

We were pretty happy with our stay. The service was good, the hotel is located in a small village so very quiet and perfect if you want to relax. The rooms were clean, the breakfast buffet was very decent and the highlight for us was the discount card we got given as we were staying more than 2 nights there. It allowed us to go to the Revital spa for free and to get free ski passes for the Feldberg domain located only 25 min away by car from the hotel(usually 38 euros for the day pass). Weak points were that we got given two single beds when we had booked a double bed...(so make sure your email them after booking with hostel.com to be 100% sure to get your double bed) They were very apologetic and really try to find a solution for us but the hotel was fully booked that weekend so there was not much they could have done. The wifi in our room was pretty slow and the waitresses in the restaurant (even though lovely) were not speaking English so it was a bit hard to communicate but at the end we managed to get what we ordered.

Wir haben im Hotel nur eine Nacht verbracht und waren fast rundum zufrieden. Besonders angenehm: großes Zimmer mit Balkon. Das Abendessen im Restaurant war gut und zum angemessenen Preis. Das Frühstücksbuffet (war im Preis inklusive) nicht sonderlich üppig, aber alles Wesentliche war da, und man kann ja auch nicht zu viel verlangen bei dem Übernachtungspreis. Mit dem Auto kommt man schnell zum Schluchsee, welcher das eigintliche Ziel unseres Aufenthalts war.

Idyllisch gelegenes Hotel

Hotel in schöner Lage, toller Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen. Die Zimmer sind neu renoviert, einfach möbliert und völlig in Ordnung. Das Frühstücksbuffet war einfach aber reichhaltig und lecker. Leider war die Bar im Keller verwaist und augenscheinlich schon länger nicht mehr in Benutzung. Der Billardtisch war in einem traurigem Zustand und stand im Konferenzraum, der leider nicht geheizt war. Schade. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Im Restaurant kann man recht gut essen. Fazit: das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis geht in Ordnung.
