"The room was claustrophobic. The bathroom was smaller than a caravan toilet and shower. The carpet was stained. You could not be use the microwave in fear it would set off the fire alarm, although their was a queen and single bed the room only comfortably would suit a single traveller."

"No lift in this area of the casino was a big surprise as I have stayed in other parts and even in the same building but last time we had a room on the 5 level and didn’t need lift as it was on level with the entrance. Very dated but quite and a really great price so we got help from staff and family to help with our cases to go to level 4 which is really a basement area but nice outlook to a garden. The toilet made strange gluub gluub notices when we used it but it didn’t block. Shower is over a bath but it had a grab handle and water pressure was great. Room was clean tv worked well nice size for room good value for money but I will ask for a ground floor room next time. Easy to catch bus into Hobart. "

"I stayed at Montacute Boutique Bunkhouse and overall had a pretty good experience, especially considering the location and atmosphere. The hostel is in a fantastic spot and just a 5–10 minute walk to the Salamanca Market, the waterfront pier area, grocery stores, and nearby art spaces. It’s super convenient if you want to explore Hobart on foot. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the stay more enjoyable. The kitchen is also very large and well set up, although it can get quite busy during peak hours. One thing to note is the bathroom situation. There are two full toilet-and-bathroom units, plus one extra toilet and two separate showers. However, during busy times (around 7–9am and 7–9pm), there can be a wait, especially with many guests staying on the second floor sharing these facilities. The room itself was clean, but the building is older, so don’t expect anything modern or newly renovated. Noise levels were generally acceptable, not too loud compared to other hostels. Overall, it’s a solid choice if you’re looking for a convenient and social place to stay in Hobart. Just be prepared for some waiting during peak bathroom and kitchen hours."

"Superb location. Room was spacious, modern, comfortable and well-equipped. Check in was a breeze as Bridget was very efficient. The free ice cream for kids and chocolate hour were nice bonuses"

"Bed very uncomfortable. Pillows couldnt support a barbie dolls head. Fridge on floor. Kettle and a small milk supplied but not a coffee sachet to be seen. Wouldnt recommend."
