"Lovely old pub with a real fire. This put a smile on my face as soon as I walked in. Friendly staff, good drinks options, nice food - breakfast was excellent. "Absolutely lovely place - bedroom was great - clean and had everything you would need at an amazing price. Cannot complain about the room at all. Only had a little niggle with the food as one of our meals wasn’t great but the other fine! Staff were lovely but busy."

"Es gab bei Ankunft Unstimmigkeiten, da im Hotel nicht bekannt war, daß die Buchung bereits bezahlt war. Die Mitarbeiter haben sich dem aber sehr angenommen und konnte dies klären. Die Betten waren sehr gut! Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis vom Frühstück passte auch."

"The room was clean and funky in terms of decoration which we liked. We hadn't realised that it was not a bathroom ensuit but shared one with three other rooms, but this was also very clean and luckily we were the only occupied room for the night we spent there. The staff were friendly and as we had to leave early the next morning kindly laid on a breakfast bap for us at 7am. An excellent setting next to the river and ideally suited for a short trip into Bath."

"Lovely hotel. Check in was excellent, very fast, friendly and efficient. Even had gluten free cookies on arrival. Room was immaculate, great bed, air con, shower, coffee machine and tea making facilities. In an excellent location for Temple Meads and harbourside. Absolutely A1 experience."

"Clean room. Apart from the conditioner not being topped-up in the bathroom, everything was in place. Staff were polite and friendly at reception and at breakfast. The breakfast meal was well laid out. Plentiful and good variety. Location was close to station and very convenient for the city centre. I would recommend."

"Nice hotel that is short walk to the centre. The staff were great and the welcome drink is a nice idea. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was okay, not a huge selection but had all the usual things you would expect. Would happily stay again if I was in the area."

"Staff friendly and helpful on Check in , the rooms and bathrooms definitely need updating which didn’t include breakfast so was quite steep for one night . No air con so it was really hot in the rooms . It was a good location , no complaints there but I think the room fee was too much considering how much they need modernising ."

"The staff seemed overwhelmed as there were not enough to check in the volume of guests. The bathroom sink was blocked, slow to drain. There was no fridge. Great to find two bottles of water were supplied. Overall a great stay in an excellent location."
