Great view. If you rent a car from them they will pick you up from the airport and get you back. They have snorkel and beach gear you can borrow. Kinda like staying at a friends house. Don't expect breakfast and housekeeping. Good place to stay if your gonna do day trips to St. Johns or BVI. Keep in mind you have to drive to just about everything

A Wonderful Place to Stay on St. Thomas!

An amazing find. While much of the island is recovering from two devastating hurricanes, this is an oasis of beauty on the island. A wonderful pool and jacuzzi, good sized villas, available car rentals, an honor system fridge (which saves drives to the grocery stores), and not too far from the center of the city, or the airport. Air conditioning works well, and the rooms are clean and have a hot plate, a fridge and freezer, and lots of space, as well as wifi and great views. Wonderful caring proprietors that do what they can to make your visit pleasant and smooth.

I loved the views here! I stayed in the Frenchmen Loft and I loved that it had this great size patio. It was like an extension of our room. The view of the pool and beyond to the ocean was fantastic. There was a 5 to 10 minute hike down to a semi-private stretch of beach that we loved. There were tall rocks near where we put our things that kept sand off and also provided shade. The waves were little and calm. Nice and relaxing spot. You have to hike back up but I thought that was nice too, because it was like a free mini hiking excursion.

They were out drinking and eating when I made the booking and did not have the wits to notice that they had a booking. I flew in from Florida and got there at 8:30pm. They were very rude and told me that they were not aware of the booking and did not care that I had no place to go. They had an empty room but were too busy partying to clean it and told me to leave. This was not even close to a hotel. They told me they are just a family renting out rooms in their home. The road there is terrible and the parking is real bad. It is way out in the middle of nowhere so you are stuck with not much to do unless you rent a car and learn how to drive on the left side of the road. All the roads in the area are terrible and dangerous to drive on. It is a good 30 minutes to the tourest area for food. I would never recommend this place to anyone. They are stuck up uncaring people that own the home. Who refuses you a room on an island like that? I am a 57 year old woman traveling alone?? Who does that?

Wonderful Villa with an Amazing View!

This villa was really a wonderful place to stay. It is peaceful and removed from the busier downtown areas. We had an amazing view from our room! There is also a great pool and beach area. Leah and Gunnar were terrific hosts who went above-and-beyond to accommodate us. Leah emailed a bunch of helpful tips as soon as we made the reservation! We liked the secluded nature of the villa, but one should be prepared to either take cabs or drive a rental to go anywhere. There is no easy/walkable access to restaurants/shops.

We loved this place! Totally peaceful, we had our own little private beach that you got to through a short walking trail which was super awesome. Super chill peaceful spot. Would def stay there again!

Leah and her husband were very kind and accommodating during or 6 day stay. The property overlooks the ocean which makes for an amazing/relaxing view. Overall it was a nice experience but there are a few things that would have made it more comfortable. The kitchenette area was really just a corner with a few kitchen items. I had to keep walking to and from the bathroom washing dishes and getting any water for cooking use. It wasn’t the best situation as the space itself is already very small. The coffee creamer expired in 2015 and Two of the light bulbs in the living room area were out. The tv is in an extremely awkward corner in front the spiral staircase which cannot be swiveled. It was very uncomfortable to view the tv. On top of that the tv was veryyy slow and kept loading ever few minutes. So maybe look into upgrading that whole set up. I loved having Lexi and jack around!! however if you’re providing a pool for guests ensure that the dogs doesn’t have free access of the pool as some people aren’t too comfortable with swimming with dogs or in a pool that dogs frequently use. We rented a vehicle from Leah and Gunnar as well and was picked up from The airport and later on was met at the airport to pick up the car before our departure. My husband and I had a great stay at the villa and will be visiting St. Thomas very soon again!!!!!

Leah and Gunnar are awesome! They are informative, helpful and make sure you have everything you need to make it a great vacation. Staying at Villa Marbella made our trip so convenient and really enhanced our enjoyment of the island. Easy beach access, great pool, beautiful views. Cruzan View room was exactly as pictured and expected. Patio was great for morning coffee and evening drinks. Don’t hesitate to book. We will stay again on our next island visit!

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay here. First of all the views are amazing! The pool area was very nice and clean. Our room was also very nice and clean, and had a lot of nice things included. Leah and Gunnar were also very nice, and willing to help us or answer any questions we had. I would recommend Villa Marbella Suites to anyone looking for a good place to stay on St. Thomas, and I will hopefully be back again sometime in the future.

Great Quiet Escape

We had a great trip staying with Leah and Gunnar. The view and property are gorgeous and we couldn't ask for much more. The Island is still in rebuilding mode from the Hurricanes but Villa Marbella is in great shape. I recommend renting a car from them because it makes getting around the island much more convenient. Thank you for the great hospitality I will be back!

Great Location & Staff

Villa Marbella is located in the "Up Country" with easy access to Charlotte Amalie and Red Hook (ferry to St. John's). The owner picked us up at the airport, and we were able to rent a Jeep directly from them without having to deal with an airport rental. The entire staff was very friendly and offered tips on restaurants and beaches. They provided snorkeling gear to use, and we had a bottle of rum waiting in our room. We especially enjoyed coming back after our day's adventure and sitting poolside playing with their two dogs: Jack Black & Lexi. Jack Black loved to retrieve tennis balls from the pool!! Looking forward to coming back to visit when we get the chance.

Room with a $20 million view.

When we arrived, we were greeted at the airport by one of the owners. He drove us to the hotel and pointed out different things to so along the way. When we arrived, we were not disappointed in the room, check in, hotel accommodations or the staff, which included 2 extremely friendly dogs. The hotel was easy to find once after the first day. It is secluded, so no worries about random people wandering up to the room. There were mask, snorkels, coolers, fins, sunblock, towels, and chairs to use while we were staying. So, everything you need to go to the beach. There is also an honor fridge for drinks. Definitely will stay again.

Comfortable suite with a great view.

Villa Marbella is located at the end of a quiet street. The view was spectacular. The suite was clean and comfortable. The hosts were friendly and helpful. My wife and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great Experience

Owners were pleasant to chat with and helpful with our stay. Great on-property pool, and Jack (one of the owner's dogs) was fun to play with. Quiet setting and private with a wonderful view facing south. Short trail down to a local beach. Close enough to town, but far enough to avoid the cruise ship throngs. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Amazingly wonderful experience

OMG, we loved it here! We had some flight issues, and had to delay and extend our trip and they were so gracious to accommodate us. They even gave us a bottle of rum! We stayed in the duplex room, which was beyond cozy. The view was spectacular. We also loved the privacy the villa provided. And it was a 10 minute drive to the happening parts of town. I highly recommend this place for couples looking for some quiet time together and for the creatives who are looking for some peace. LOVEEEEE!

Set us up to have a wonderful week

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful week at Villa Marbella. Leah and Gunnar are the nicest people and are very accommodating! The Mango Room was perfect for us. We explored the islands every day, and loved coming home to Villa Marbella! The view is breathtaking. Leah and Gunnar's dogs are the sweetest dogs! They love to hang out with people, but only if you want them to! :)

Like having my own apartment to come home to

This is a great place to stay! It's a nice, quiet place off the tourist track. The owners are warm, friendly people who make you feel right at home. I stayed in the mango room, which is a cozy little room perfect for coming back to after having been out all day. Quiet, clean, with AC that works, and a little "mini kitchen" which was handy. The pool deck is a great place to relax and watch the sun set, and the honor fridge is a nice touch and so convenient. I would definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in St. Thomas.

Fabulous Hosts, Wonderful Stay!

Leah and Gunnar were so friendly and accommodating. Rented the Jeep from them too which was amazing and made the trip so much more enjoyable than it would have been without it. Highly recommend!

Awesome Time in St. Thomas

Awesome stay at Villa Marbella Suites in St. Thomas - it is a quiet, quaint, relaxing place - perfect for some much needed R & R. Close enough to everything to be convenient if you have a car, (we did not walk - no sidewalks). Leah and Gunnar are wonderful hosts and always made sure we had everything we needed for the perfect vacation. The beach is close - a short hike down a hill, and the ABI restaurant there was perfect for a nice afternoon if you don't feel like going to town. It was a PERFECT vacation - we look forward to going back to stay at Villa Marbella ( usually we do not stay in the same place twice).
