"The facilities were very clean, the staff very friendly. However, when I made the reservation it said it was a room with a private bathroom, which isn't true; the bathroom is shared but very clean, and the other guests also kept the bathroom and kitchen clean. My stay there was very satisfactory since the location is perfect for getting around on foot and the hotel has parking."

"Our room had the basic kitchen motel amenities. The room was clean, the staff friendly and our parking in front of our room. The victorian buildings were well restored. We couldn't get a ticket to see the blue pinguins at night but we saw a few including young ones during the day inside the research centre area."

"Unit was clean, tidy, a little dated but in good condition. Conveniently located, helpful staff. The clincher for us is the dog-friendly classification allowing us to take with us our beloved black Labrador. The one thing that would lift the unit to 5 stars would be a heat pump/air conditioning. We shall certainly book again. "
