"What an intriguing town and the Elk River Hotel is definitely the place to stay in Sutton. Emily is a native and warm and welcoming and Francisco is a joy. Don't miss his delicious Latin breakfast which is included in the price. The website could use updating. The restaurant at the hotel is closed, though there is a weekend bar, and a good place to eat in town is the Braxton Bistro. The hotel is situated directly on the Elk River in a beautiful spot. Try the glamping unless you have dog. By the way, the real Flatlands Monster isn't an alien, but the railroad tie plant in town."

I stayed on the first floor for the first time and got a room with a comfortable long lounge chair. The hotel very clean and staff was extremely accommodating and superbly attentive to my every need. They gave me free bottled water, coffee & Tea 24/7. I forgot my toothpaste and they had one for me on the house. If I had to say something bad… The only thing I could say is they need a hot tub.
