"It was our first time trying out a self catering apartment, and we really enjoyed the two nights there. Clean, spacious, it has almost everything you need, except for a laundry machine and shower gel /shampoo. Hazel (the family dog) was super friendly, and the sunset views were ridiculously gorgeous. Applecross is a tad remote, so come prepared with all the food supplies you need. "

"Loved the cottage Red Deer. We have stayed in the one bedroom before Brochure. Settee was a bit uncomfortable. No hairdryer although listed as having one, so had to go and buy a travel hairdryer. Disappointed that there wasn’t any hand soap provided in the bathroom Apart from that we would come back as it is very spacious. "

"Overall, a great lodging in the heart of a quaint community. It was just a short walk from shops, restaurants, and a grocery. (BTW, if you arrive late, like we did shortly after 8, either quickly make to a restaurant–most close their kitchens by 8:30–or do what we did, go down the street toward the grocery near the water's edge and pick up things you can cook). "Exceptional property! Heatherland looks like it came out of the pages of a storybook. Perfect location to explore Skye from! The cottage was super clean, roomy, very quiet, with views for miles and miles. We would strongly recommend Heatherland to anyone travelling to Skye."
