"Took my partner away here we stayed here for 2 nights.
On arrival staff was very welcoming and helpful.
Parking here is expensive but if you park on Compair crescent which is near (5 min walk) by it’s a lot cheaper saved myself £15.00.
Convience stores are very near for your essentials.
1 Lifts was working on day we arrived and other was out of order. Then the other lift went down so had to use stairs in end for rest of our stay, which was ok but on departure we had to carry everything up and down stairs as had to make 2 journeys to room to get our belongings.
Breakfast would been better if food was kept warmer as was only very luke warm when we had breakfast.
Was very happy they provided soya milk so thank you .
Didn’t buy any food or drink at the hotel but as thought prices was too high priced.
Would stay here again to see if anything my comments has been listened too.
But was a good stay apart from my negatives.
Good bus routes into town and railway 5 min away so good location."
"Stayed in a refurbished room, large bed, newly decorated shower room, tea, coffee, kettle and bottled water in the room and toiletries in bathroom.
Easy free parking, excellent roast dinner on Sunday evening, staff all very helpful throughout our stay. Only one minor improvement would be a checkout at 11:00 instead of 10:00 without having to pay a surcharge.
Would definitely recommend."
"In need of a face lift! Dated and tired, but clean and presentable. It just felt it had seen better times and desperately needed some love and some cash. Car park is scruffy, and unmaintained.
Food is acceptable and the coffee is ok.
WiFi not the best, but the bed was comfy."
"I used to stay regularly some 4 years ago but now it’s gone downhill. Parking is charged for, breakfast is extra, bathroom amenities are cheap, no dressing gowns in rooms, quality of bar food has gone down and the atmosphere is missing. We were in 202 and got woken in the night by door slamming (several times) and noise of plant/machinery when it was open, the ground floor public/bar gents did not have a functioning locking mechanism. Comfortable bed, good staff but really not top quality anymore which for that price in Ipswich, it should be."
"A little dated in decor/condition of carpets and room was cosy but not as clean as I would have expected.
Can rate the amenities, food and service etc as arrived late and left before breakfast.
Area is beautiful as is the building and surroundings itself. "
