"In the room the carpet was filthy. The mattresses were too soft. The internet was poor. The downstairs area looked very uninviting, like it had been left to rot. It was dark and depressing. There was no nice common area to sit and relax in. The carpet on the way to the rooms looked like it hadn't been changed since the 1950s and was threadbare and dirty. The area near the landing toilets was old and smelled of sewage The whole place needs an absolutely thorough makeover."

"Beautiful venue. A little dated now. Could do with new mattresses. Children running around the corridors at midnight from a birthday party was a problem. Called the night porter twice and nothing happened so had to deal with it myself."
