This is a retreat hotel for treating people with cancer. I didn’t know that until after I arrived. I didn’t see anyone who was unwell. We I researched the property I realised it’s history.
I thought wow, a massage chair in my room, cool European shower with jets etc, a gym and a chapel where I could light incense and candles. Filtered water is available, a fireplace in the eating area and very clean bedding.
Whilst the room was small with no wardrobe, I only had an overnight bag and could cope. With a kettle, and a large basin in the room I could make endless cups of tea.
It was secure with a lockable front door and coded room key. Cameras were in the corridors.
The only draw back is no lift to get up the stairs.
It’s on a quiet back street and 10 minutes walk from Woolworths. The staff were helpful and when I arrived the fan heater was on and my room was warm.
And, you get to check out at 11am. Ticks so many boxes.
