"Pros: Nice cool looking hotel near Taipei Main Station. Rooms were clean, spacious and had good amenities except don't expect toothbrush/toothpaste. Free breakfast. Nice lobby area. great and very helpful staff. Cons: Restaurant option is not great IMO. I was expecting much more for a 5 star hotel. Site says two main restaurants(Italian and Western/Taiwan) but they are basically the same restaurants in the same space. Just two different menus. As far as menu, options in either the Italian menu or western/Taiwan menu are abysmal. I tried both menus. Better off eating elsewhere."

"Driftwood bar was excellent- atmosphere was great and staff very attentive. Buffet breakfast had a very wide range of options and plenty of supplies. Retro decor was Soviet industrial era and was quirky and fun. Housekeeping was also top rate.Location was easy walk to Ximen station and general surroundings felt safe and friendly."
